Truffles. Truff-truff. Mr. Personality. Smiles constantly. Has never met a stranger. Always on duty. Barks too much. Loves to give kisses. Carrots are a favorite treat. Rings a bell that hangs by the door to let us know when he wants to go outside or needs something. Frou Frou looking, but all DOG.
Desiray. Desi. Girlfriend.
Such a sweetie. Quiet and reserved.
She is shy, but seems to now know that strangers are okay if they are introduced by Tam or I.
Once terrified of touch, she now seeks cuddles. Does a "happy dance" whenever I walk into the house. Loves to roll in the grass.
She is a foster pup and we will miss her terribly when she finds her
"forever" home.
Until then, she is much welcomed here.

There are some behaviors that are common to most Chi's - snuggling up in blankets is one of them. Desiray had none of the common Chi behaviors (except being defensive and fear biting) when she first joined our home as a foster pup.
But she is discovering her "inner chi" now.
Finally "learning how to be a pet" as my adult son puts it.
It is a delight to watch her bloom.
She and Truff have crates downstairs and in our bedroom. They are "houses" and the dogs are in and out of them all day.
It's their safe space for naps or if the house is too hectic for them.
Desi hoardes her "chewies" in hers, Truff's "chewies" too...
